High speed optical measuring system, various software features for Point, Area and Volume evaluation tasks are combined in one machine. Printed Circuit Board / Bare Board Industry
The PCB Industry is our core application field. We support our customers with high precise quality control solutions in the field of PCB manufacturing used for Smart Factory, 5G and 6G, intelligent traffic control systems, drones and unmanned aerial vehicles, satellite communications, the IOT (Internet of Things), high-security boards used for automotive, aerospace or military.
Flat Battery and Solar Cell
Battery cells use alternating layers of anode and cathode foils in electrode production. They are separated by separators. The foil stack is then rolled up, packed in a metal housing and the batteries will be finally welded.
PMT offers optical geometrical measurement solutions for flat foil inspection for quality purpose. parts control systems are used in numerous process steps to ensure efficient production of the battery cells. This includes, for example, measuring the electrode foil thickness, checking the cutting burr and laser welding the foil layers (foil-to-tab) and the housing with the lid (cap-to-can).
Fuel Cells and Bipolar Plates
The manufacturing and design of bipolar plates play a central role in the efficiency and performance of fuel cells and electrolyzes. Different processes and materials are used in manufacturing to meet the specific requirements of these technologies. An effective design considers aspects such as material selection, channel structure and surface treatment to achieve the best possible efficiency.
Therefore, test measurement of geometrical and functional features shall be crosschecked by PMT optical CMM machines with AOI function.
Micromechanics (MEMS) / Thin Metal Etching
PMT Globals optical non-contact scanning method ensures accurate contour analysis, making it ideal for delicate components such as MEMS and thin metal-etched parts, while minimizing the risk of damage and optimizing quality control.
